About Gems & Daily Quests

First, let's address the Terence in the room – Gems from Daily Quests and the concern that you won't be able to play the game as you used to. We promise you that we have no intention of restricting how you enjoy Angry Birds 2 on a daily basis.

We will continue balancing Treasure Pass rewards and tweak the in-game economy to ensure that you and all our players can enjoy the game and have fun while doing so. Since the release of Treasure Pass and Rainbow Season, not only have we encountered several game-breaking issues and bugs, that impacted your experience significantly and we have received a lot of feedback about the rewards of Treasure Pass, and we want you to know that we hear you, and we are committed to addressing your concerns.

A Deeper Look at Balancing

Due to the technical issues encountered after the release of Rainbow Season it's challenging to draw conclusions about how the balancing should look like, and if we need to make adjustments to the accessibility to other game features going forward. Until we have the information to make changes to the game, and considering that the development and balancing of Season 2 (including a cool new reward, which will be revealed soon!) have already been completed, we've decided to postpone possible changes to Treasure Pass rewards and general balancing to keep the game accessible for the near future. We know this is not what many of you were hoping to hear, but we are committed to making Seasons in Angry Birds 2 a feature that feels rewarding for you, and we will share more about changes in the near future. One important change for Season 2 is the duration, future seasons will last longer, between 28 to 30 days and rewards have been increased to reflect this.

You Deserve A Better Experience

Treasure Pass was released with plenty of issues and was not to the quality we set ourselves to deliver. Going forward, we will prioritize game stability and a bug-free experience above all else to ensure that new features work as intended upon release. In the meantime, we will continue collecting feedback from you and gathering information from within the game. Most importantly, we will launch multiple surveys in the near future. All of this will help us understand the bigger picture before we make significant changes to Seasons in Angry Birds 2 and Treasure Pass.

Let’s talk about the changes we are making for Season 2 – Based on your feedback we have permanently removed the Daily Quest asking you to use 2 spells in Daily Challenge. We have also resolved the issue that prevented you from completing the Epic Quest that was asking you to collect the Crazy Eights Hat Set Event. When we encountered the issue, we removed this quest to avoid confusion, and now we have granted everyone who managed to collect all 8 hats their well-earned 2000 Season Points. Similar to this, all players who encountered a freeze or crash in Daily Challenge or King Pig Panic since Rainbow Season was released, have been granted between 10,000 to 37,000 Season Points for Daily Challenge and 4,000 to 26,000 Season Points, depending how much they were impacted.

If you are currently affected by an issue that prevents you from accessing Treasure Pass, you don’t have to be worried about missing out on your hard-earned rewards. With the end of the old and the start of the new Season, you have 2 days to log into the game and you will receive all unclaimed rewards automatically without having to open Treasure Pass.

A Token of Gratitude

Lastly, we know that some of you are concerned about completing Treasure Pass to collect your Season rewards. Treasure Pass was designed to be completed without having to finish every single quest each day. This means you can miss out on quests on some days and still collect your Avatars at Milestone 40. However, due to the technical issues, some of which unfortunately still persist, you were not able to fully explore and experience Treasure Pass and Rainbow Season as intended. To make up for this experience and as a one-time exception, we have granted all affected players 15,000 Season Points!

We thank you for your understanding and again apologize for an experience that is not up to our standard. Your enjoyment of Angry Birds 2 is our highest priority, and you undoubtedly deserve better. We are committed to being more transparent and will work towards a relationship with you, our community, and our biggest fans, built on trust and excitement.
