Why is Battle Bay requesting all these permissions? Why doesn’t the game work if the permissions are denied?

If you update your Android device to OS version 6. x and newer (or if you already have such an OS installed and download Battle Bay for the first time), the game will display a prompt requesting access to your photos, media, and storage. It’s only the storage part we’re interested in.

The game requests access specifically to your device’s storage because of application file restrictions on the Google Play Store. These restrictions mean that instead of downloading just one game file, Battle Bay has to be sent to your device in two separate files instead of the more familiar method.

Because of this, Battle Bay requires access to your device storage to load that second file, which will allow the game to run. Please keep in mind that if access to storage is not granted, the game cannot load.

If you happen to deny this permission by selecting ‘Don’t ask me again’, you need to allow the permission in your device settings manually. You can do this by doing the following steps:

- Settings

- Applications

- Application Manager

- Battle Bay

- Permissions

Tap the button next to ‘Storage’ so that its color changes to blue. This confirms that the permission has been granted.
IMPORTANT: Battle Bay will never access your files on your device. The game will only have access to the game files.
