Server Migration Update (13/01/2025)
We are happy to announce that the server migration for Angry Birds Friends is complete! Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process. Below, we’ve answered some common questions about what this means for you as a player.
What does this mean for me as a player?
As of now, all player accounts have been moved to the new server system. To ensure your account and progress are successfully migrated, all you need to do is log into the game within the next 6 months. No other action is necessary on your part!
What happens if I don’t log in within 6 months?
If you do not log into the game during the 6-month period following this announcement, your account and all associated progress will be permanently deleted. We will not be able to recover your account or progress once the 6-month period has passed, please make sure to log into your game before then.
Known migration issues (Updated 13/01/2025):
- Freshly migrated players may not receive the rewards from the Tournament they participated in prior to being migrated. Contact player support via the in-game cogwheel button -> support -> scroll down and tap "chat with us", to get help with receiving your missing Tournament rewards.
- Some players may not have the possibility to use Free & AD Spin right away on Jackpot Wheel. Player can attempt to restart the game, or to try and play a level in order to work around this issue.
- Level scores are not registered when player completes a level in Blue's Tallest Tower.
- Tournament league leaderboards are empty for a while after player joins a Tournament.

What is a game server?
A game server is like the "brain" of an online multiplayer game. Game servers are essential for running multiplayer games, as they handle communication between players, manage game sessions, store game data, and ensure that the game world remains consistent and responsive.
Why are we changing servers?
The new game server will improve our team operations and make it easier to update and fix the game.
- Better Issue Response: We can now identify and address game issues more quickly.
- Easier Feature Additions: Adding new and exciting features is now simpler than ever.
These improvements reflect our commitment to growing the game and supporting it for years to come.
How will this affect our players?
Developing the new server has been a top priority of our team, and a massive undertaking. We are doing our best to ensure that this change causes as little disruption to our players as possible. As we transition from the old game server to the new game server, it is necessary to migrate players' data to the new server. This is being done gradually in groups, and if a player is part of a group designated to be migrated, the migration occurs when the player next launches the game.
- Please note that no action is required from our players.
- If all goes well, players should not notice any differences to their game or account after being migrated.
