Dashing is the core mechanic of Sonic Blitz. It makes the cards come alive to attack your opponent, triggering some cards' “On Dash” abilities.

Generally, you can only Dash one lane at a time (there are exceptions). If you Dash in the same lane as your opponent, your cards and their cards will engage in battle. In that case, the cards that occupy the same position on opposite sides of the lane will battle.
