During the Hat Chest Event, which lasts several days, a new icon will appear on the Home Screen’s Main Menu, replacing the regular Treasure Chest Icon. Tapping this icon opens the Hat Chest pop-up.

Here, you will see which Hat Set is currently featured. Featured Hat Sets cannot be obtained in the normal Hat Shop for Black Pearls.

You can open the Hat Chest once per day for free or spend gems to open the chest as many times as you want. If you are in a hurry or want the most value for your gems, you can also open 10 Hat Chests at once!

One Hat Chest always rewards one Hat. You can get the featured Hat Set and all other Hat Sets from the Hat Shop that can be purchased for Black Pearls. Not only will you have a chance to obtain Legendary Hats, but you will also have a chance to upgrade hats you already own, and even better, immediately get 2-star and 3-star hats!

Please note that the Drop Rate depends on the rarity and the star tier. For example, getting a Legendary 3-star Hat is less likely than getting a Rare 1-star Hat.

Spend Hat Coins in the Hat Coin Shop!

You are probably wondering if you can obtain duplicates. The answer is yes – and that’s a great thing! 

When you obtain a hat you already own, you will receive a set amount of Hat Coins. The amount you get depends on the rarity of the duplicate hat.

Select the Hat Shop tab on the pop-up and check out which Hats are sold for Hat Coins. Redeem your Hat Coins in the Hat Coin Shop, which offers you a selection of Hats that will change from event to event. If you are missing a specific Hat, now is your time to grab the birdy adornment of your deepest desire.

Please note that the Hat Coin Store provides a limited assortment of Hats, including the featured Hats and a selection from the regular Hat Shop. And don’t worry, once the event is over, you will keep your Hat Coins. Save up for the hats you like or spend them all at once – the choice is yours!

I pulled a hat but didn't receive it!

Restart the game and check the Hat shop ahain to see if the hat is in place. When you're getting a hat or an upgrade that you already own, it will be converted into Hat Coins that you can spend in the shop. Also, if you're getting a hat for a bird you have't acquired yet, the hat will be there waiting for you in the Hat shop to free this bird!
